Becoming a Faithful Man

It is kind of surprising to me when Getz shared that what those new believer employers were looking for in employees could be found in how Paul described men of maturity and faithfulness.

It was also an interesting question to entertain when Getz asked, “how do we recognize ‘a man of God?’ What does he look like?”

It was interesting that motive was what was the issue for those who Paul instructed Titus in regard to wealth.

As each of us face challenges and opposition we need to turn to the source and strength and wisdom to remain on a path of maturity and faithfulness. James 4:7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

CHALLENGE: Take a look at thinking and growing together and setting a goal in your book.

The Measure of a Man

This is our first book. We are reading the first 6 chapters including the introduction before January 17, 2010. This is what we will discuss at our 5:30 pm meeting on that night.

This blog is offered to give everyone opportunities to share comments or questions while they read and receive feedback from the rest of the group.

This post starts with the "Introduction." There are three interesting areas that I see in the reading.

First, "getting back on track."

Second, "an inspiring Father and Son story."

Third, "how do we measure maturity?"

What did you see that was interesting in the introduction? Are there questions that the introduction raises that you would like to see answered? Did anything speak to you in particular as you read the introduction?

Let's Man-up...
